How To Taste Wine – Develop Your Palate

Learn how to taste certain characteristics of wine by developing your palate. I will do a science experiment where I add black tea to red wine to identify tannins, lemon juice for acidity, sugar for sweetness, and vodka for alcohol. The control wine will be a glass of Sicilian Syrah from Tenute Orestiadi.

Materials for the experiment:
1 bottle of dry red wine
5 wine glasses
1 bag of black tea
1/2 lemon juiced
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp vodka
